Couple Laments Hardship After Birth Of Triplets

A Lagos couple say the burden of caring for their six children, including a set of triplets, is weighing them down.

The triplets – Prince, Praise and Precious – were reportedly delivered in September 2015 after the couple had decided to stop having children.

The husband, 53-year-old Ifeanyi Amadu, lamented that he lost his job after his wife was delivered of the triplets.

Ifeanyi, an indigene of Ukpo town, in the Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, said their condition was worsened after a Toyota Sienna, which served as the family’s means of livelihood, was impounded by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority in the Ajegunle area.

He said his family had since then been living from hand to mouth.

The wife, Precious, said Ifeanyi was using the family’s vehicle for menial jobs when the minivan was impounded by LASTMA officials.

The 40-year-old woman, while begging the government to release the vehicle to the family on compassionate grounds, called for help from Nigerians for her husband to get a job.
